DUMINGAG, Zamboanga del Sur (May 11, 2018) – The
responding police operative arrested 9 persons and confiscated one firearms
with ammunition and one hand grenade Thursday at 10:08pm in Purok 3, Barangay
Bagong Valencia od this municipality.
A report received by the police operatives that
armed men allegedly harassed the house of Barangay Chairman Marcelo Dalandao.
Upon receipt of the report, PNP personnel of
station led by PO3 Jepe Y Bazar, together with augmented personnel of 902ND,
RMFB9 proceeded to the reported place to verify the report.
Upon arrival of the responding team, barangay
chairman MARCELO DALANDAO together with other persons guided the PNP personnel
going to the boarding house of EX-Barangay Chairman Hermilina Japos Arbilon at
purok 4, Barangay Bagong Valencia of said municipality.
When they arrived in the area, there were
individuals in front of said house suddenly scampered to different direction
after noticing the presence of police.
The responding team immediately alighted from
the PNP patrol car and chased the evading persons and the other PNP personnel
directly barged inside the house, consequently caught and arrested nine (9)
persons identified as:
-MISAEL L. BATION, 40 years old;
-ELMER C. MANGCAO, 56 year old;
-JONNY M. TAYONG, 24 years old;
-LEONARDO C. BATOCTOY, 38 year old,
-WILLIAM D. ALBAIRA, 35 years old;
-LEONARDO L. GUPIT, 42 years old,
-LITO M. JAPOS, 46 years old,
-RICO E. SAUCLUM, 43 years old; and J
-OEL A. BALURAN, 43 year old, all resident of
Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur.
The following items were recovered inside the
house of Ex-Barangay Chairman HERMILINA JAPOS ARBILON were:
-One (1) unit caliber 45 pistol with
-Nine (9) live ammunitions and
-One (1) unit hand grenade;
While other items recovered in the rice and corn
mill building adjacent to said house are:
-one (1) unit caliber 45 pistol with
-Nine (9) live ammunitions; and
-one (1) unit caliber 38 revolver with
-Five (5) live ammunitions.
Arrested persons were temporary detained at
Dumingag MPS lock up cell, while waiting for appropriate charges to be filed in
